National Clandestine Meth Lab Registries: Facts and Fiction

If a home or apartment that you are thinking about buying or renting is not listed as the site of a former meth lab on the DEA website, DO NOT assume that the home was never used as a meth lab. The federal government does not require states to provide the DEA with meth lab bust information. The list provided by the DEA should not be considered complete.

*If you are searching for a meth lab home on the Internet, keep this in mind:

Be suspicious of any websites that tell you that they have a complete list of meth lab homes in the U.S.!  THERE IS NO SUCH THING! Meth labs crop up every minute of every day somewhere in America!

NEVER buy or rent a home, based on the fact that it was not listed on any websites that you’ve found on the Internet! If you do, you are at risk of buying a contaminated home that can hurt both your family’s physical and financial health.
