Missouri (7/13/11) :   In a unanimous show of support, Festus City Council members passed a city-wide ordinance on Wednesday that restricts the sale of pseudoephedrine only to those with a doctor’s prescription. Festus is the third city in Jefferson County to pass a PSE prescription law in an effort to protect their community from the devastation being caused by the illegal manufacture of meth. Byrnes Mill and De Soto previously passed a similar ordinance in their communities. Other communities in Jefferson County, like Crystal City, are taking the ordinance under consideration.
