Ogletown Delaware: Home declared safe after working meth lab found

Ogletown Delaware: A home on East Rutherford Drive has been declared safe after a working meth lab was found in the basement by the New Castle County Police. Reports about the incident say that chemicals found inside the home were removed and the home was then declared safe. There is no mention of the home having been decontaminated – only the chemicals have been removed by the police which is standard practice at the scene of a meth lab bust. The home is NOT SAFE until it has been professionally tested and decontaminated. Buyers and renters beware!

Police found home police found 5.5 ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a working meth lab in the basement. All of the chemicals used to make meth were found in a six foot by four foot plastic storage container and a floor safe, according to reports about the meth lab bust. Glass beakers and plastic containers containing residue that is consistent with cooking meth were also found at the scene.

A forty-three year old man and a sixteen-year old male were arrested and released on $1250 unsecured bond.
