Using a do-it-yourself meth test kit may or may not tell you if there is contamination present. The outcome of the test depends on where you test in the house and it will only tell you if meth has been detected. The contamination is homes where meth has been manufactures goes far beyond meth.

There are several toxic chemicals found in contaminated homes, which is why I recommend having an initial assessment of the property done by a professional. If you do a self-test and it doesn’t turn anything up, but it is in fact contaminated, then you or anyone living in the home, especially children and pregnant moms, would be put at risk of developing short and/or long term health problems.
