Utah meth lab law didn’t protect their babies

Utah meth lab law left Rachel and Adam Spencer and their babies
unprotected from the health and financial consequences of renting a contaminated meth lab home. They say the heartache and suffering that they have been through could have been prevented for $45. This is their story.
When Rachel and Adam Spencer rented an apartment in West Jordan, Utah, in 2006, no one told them it was a meth lab. Although the apartment was dirty, it wasn’t beyond being cleaned – they thought. Like many young couples, they took on the task and worked hard to turn it in to a wonderful home. But, despite all of their efforts, the dirt kept coming back.
Rachel described the difficulty they had as they tried to clean their home, as “black oil that would seep through the walls; and no matter what you did to the wall, you couldn’t clean it off.” In November 2009, they found out, what should have been told to them 3 years earlier.
Shortly after moving in to the home, they each began to experience unusual health problems. Adam developed hives that were so severe, that they blocked off his airway. Rachel began to suffer with severe headaches. Both began noticing that they were also having problems remembering things, like who they were speaking to and what they were speaking about, in the middle of phone conversations. Although, they didn’t know it then, their health problems were just the tip of the iceberg.
Last year, Rachel and Adam lost their first baby, when Rachel suffered a miscarriage.
They were happy when they found out that they were pregnant again.
But, doctors soon discovered that their beautiful baby girl, Zoey, had heart problems; heart problems that are so severe, that doctors say she may need to have a heart transplant.
Doctors can’t say for sure that Zoey’s heart problems were caused because of their contaminated meth lab home. Adam and Rachel have no doubts that it did.
Tests for allegens, mold, and meth told the toxic story, that their landlord never did. The house tested positive for meth. They moved out of the house with the clothes on their back. They were told to leave the house and take nothing with them. Everything, they were told, is contaminated.
When they confronted the apartment managers with the news that they had rented them a contaminated home, they claimed they had no idea that someone has used meth in the apartment. When asked what they would do to help them, the management of the complex offered them no help. In fact, they told them that they were victims too. I can only imagine the thoughts and words that must have been running through the Spencers mind on that day.
Ignorance about what the previous tenants had done in the apartment, didn’t change the facts. The test that the Spencers had in-hand, was positive proof that the apartment was unsafe to live in. On the advice of their lawyer, the complex began the decontamination process of the Spencer’s apartment. It was a step that came too little and too late for the Spencer family.
All of the health and financial losses that the Spencers have been made to endure, could have been avoided, if the apartment complex had tested the apartment before they allowed anyone else to move in. The test would have cost them $45. The Spencers now worry how long they will have to pay with their health.
So, the apartment will soon be available for rent again and the money for the decontamination they’re paying for will be paid back to them. But, there is not enough money in the world to pay back what the Spencers have lost.
Meth Lab Homes comment:
Utah legislators are now considering changing their disclosure law to require that rental homes be tested, before anyone can occupy them. It is my hope that law will also require home sellers to certify that the home they’re selling is also free of toxic chemicals.
If you’re thinking it’s not a problem for you, because you don’t live in Utah, think again. No state requires that testing be done on homes before they are rented or sold. None. Keep that in mind, if you’re planning on renting or buying a home, no matter what state you live in. Please let your legislators know that you expect your state’s disclosure and decontamination laws to protect renters and home buyers!

The disgusting truth is that only 1 in 100 meth homes are actually found by police. The other 99 are never known. I have seen, been in these houses. Sometimes, while houses are being fixed up for sale, the people that are hired by their friends to fix them up, move in and live in the home while they’re remodeling it. The whole time they are there, they are making small meth batches. The house takes 5 times longer to repair and sell because of these tweekers tweekin out inside the house. There will be a lot of traffic, and not a whole lot of fixing up going on, except once in a while when they get a really good batch. You can tell by the tweekers coming and going, kickin it out in the garage alot, and of course, staying up all night for days on end.
Common chemicals used, besides the known ones, are interestingly enough termite powder, various prescription meds and allergy meds that people steal from their grandparents and swap to the bad guys for a cut of the batch, and other herbs, like echinacea or purple cone flower (unknown as to why). The people will go in on a batch together, and about 6 hours later a steady stream of the people will show up in separate cars to get their share. Sometimes, the more people going in on the batch opens up the bad guys to getting caught by a nark, who is in on the deal from start to finish- probably how most of these homes are found. The rest, where the guys don’t have strangers getting in on it with them, are NEVER found.
Go with your gut. You can see the hazy, dark shadows that linger in the walls and appear to cloud the air, long after it’s been “cleaned” and “ready for move-in”. After seeing what I have seen in California, I would strongly suggest having EVERY home you are intenting to buy sampled, regardless of whether or not it is a known lab.
God bless and take care everyone.

Forgot to add: here are links to actual meth lab homes that were NOT caught by police. If you want to have them rolled up, be my guest, but some of them are occupied by people who have zero knowledge of the homes past or the people that lived there.
various houses on brush creek
a drug dealer lived here with his mother and sister. he has many guns, and enjoys getting people hooked on meth while they are severely drunk, just minding their own business. if you come in contact with this individual, or your daughter starts dating him, call the police at once, they know all about him and his sociopathic lying, acting skills and hustle are good enough to throw anyone off their game. his nickname is “Play”. He is in concert with the people on brush creek, and knows all the other bad guys in this list of homes. he is responsible for the lost lives of many “good girls” who just wanted to have some innocent fun and get drunk at a party. These people lost their lives after he “raped” them with meth. His sister, whose name rhymes with Jolly, helps him coerce their victims. Stockton Map
corner of plantation and branstetter located inside the garage and all other upper and lower units of triplex were meth making, meth smoking and illegal gambling with dice, cards and darts. Also at teh house was prostitution and a whole host of related meth crimes, like murder, stabbing, stranglings, beatings, and the biggy- Identity theft. People here would radiate out of this place, doing crimes all over the tri-valley area and going back to trade identity information like the rest of us trade baseball cards. We’re talking literal stacks of id’s, bank info, social security cards, credit cards. They stole mine and my son’s identities, and we will be forever waiting for something bad to happen when whomever stole them messes up their newfound freedom and soils our good name. Anyway, this place was closed down by the after the owner’s friends murdered Louise De Barrows in Sandman park in december of 2004, and were never caught, and all its vagrant occupants moved around to other places in Stockton and surround, and I have no idea where they all are, but you can bet they’re still up to no good.
The cachos farm, on 13398 E Live Oak Rd. Lodi, CA 95240is most likely to this day still manufacturing, i know, because i was almost killed there in an identity theft crime, where I was lured out to help a friend who’d been beaten up by her boyfriend (was a lie), then made to call my family and tell them they wouldn’t be seeing me because I was moving to Georgia to start a business. Then I was given a little pink pill (valium?), which I put in my pocket when the bad guys weren’t looking. I had a gun to my face the entire time, and when it wasn’t pointed at me, it was being waved around. The psycho “Claire, aka Valerie Cacho” was yelling on the phone to someone, “I am going to kill Claire, Claire is going to die right now, there will be no Claire, Claire is gone.” I was taken from a mobile trailer, which is no longer on the property, which was to the east of the main house, and led into the living room of the main house. Then I was asked a series of identity related questions, while the answers to my questions were double-checked with a laptop. She made me go find her uncle and tell him “It’s Time.” I went back into the house again. Then i was told I was to go to the bathroom, to which i replied, i already just came from the bathroom and was then told: “You are going in to the bathroom, we are going to cut your hair. You want to have a fresh image to go along with our new business don’t you”I said, hmmm…. You know, I have a pack of cigarettes out in the car, and they are menthols I think! I went to the car, got on my cell phone and locked the doors. I called my mom and told her that if I am not back in 20 minutes, trace this call and have the cops find me, because I am most likely being killed, it might be too late. Then, at this time, I saw her uncle going up the back stairs of the house, which are near that siloh tower type thing in the back, to where I was going to be in the bathroom “having my hair cut”, and he was carrying a 5 gallon plastic bucket, a shotgun and a weird wooden sawhorse type device with a hole cut out for the neck and wrists, with a padlock on the side. I knew there was NO gas in my car, but I ghosted on fumes the entire 30 miles back to Stockton, to save my own life. Here I am, and that girl should have killed me when she had the chance. Anyway, here is her families farm. They make meth in the basement, she told me. They have plenty of surveillance and guns, so watch out.
God Bless, I really believe we all have guardian angels looking out for us. There is soooo much evil in the world, but I have a great life now and live to help others.
Here are some more places that “Play” liked to go. All of his friends are either meth users or meth makers, and he is just the middle man. He is bisexual, and is known to sleep with men and then steal their wallets and other household items while they are in the shower. He will also sleep with women, many, many women, and when confronted about being “gay” will choke you almost to death or threaten to. Many of the people he hangs out with inject meth, which in my opinion renders them completely useless as humans, doomed to a life of eventual & welcomed death. Each of these homes has, or has had this activity inside, and generally, every other house on some of these streets is a former drug house, by drug house I mean where people smoked or injected meth and the apartment complex next door…. people were squatting in these houses and using meth, and doing other crimes, including identity theft
8502 Kelley Dr Stockton, CA 95209 -this street, Kelley Drive, is notorious for crime. if a house came up for sale, I wouldn’t even buy it for rental purposes- they are infested with human filth.
1734 wagner heights road, stockton, ca, the blue two story with the silver suv in the driveway. these people are friends with the people in my previous post of the dice house, and they helped break into my car to steal my identity. They are identity theives, and meth users. Their mother, a very nice woman, doesn’t really know what they do, and she works at the convalescent hospital next door to the dice house on branstetterx wagner heights. a lot of the people who “lived” at the dice house, including the owner of the dice house were filipino and they also worked at the convalescent hospital. that is scary, that gambing meth addicts could be taking care of old sick people after not sleeping at night, for nights on end. And, having access to the patients medical records and identity information is especially troubling.
All of the houses in the Cody, Comstock, Colt, Hickock and Pawnee blocks are drug and crime ridden, stay away!!!
There are people living in this trailer park that have sex websites featuring exploited youth and other unwilling participants.
11186 California 26, stockton, ca otherwise known as E Fremont Street. the guys name is “Denny” they live in a brown trailer at the back of the park with a nascar 23 sticker on the side, way behind the little store you can see on the road, with the illegals standing in front smoking, which is mostly filled with illegal immigrants, with the exception of themselves. they sold their own 9 year old son to someone, and stayed while the man took their son into a room to “play on the computer.” they make and use meth and have a network of friends. One of their friends “Vince” operated a group home for young boys, out off Mariposa near stagecoach rd. somewhere, it was a large ranch. That guy, Vince, had a recording studio, a production studio and access to many children and teens. The other thing they also all did was drugs, take care of your kids people, don’t let them end up in these peoples hands.
6712 Plymouth Rd, Stockton, CA, United States
Address is approximate, the Motel 6, is plagued with drugs and various crimes. This is a very dangerous place, most all of the hotels along i-5 are bad, and although cheap and apparently clean, they have held gambling parties where meth is continuously smoked and dice are thrown. The game is called “4,5,6″ and people are killed over this when they hustle someone else.
Here’s another very bad place, the sunshine inn… which is now called the Knight’s Inn, 8009 N Highway 99, Stockton, CA?. The owners were middle eastern and cared not what went on there, as long as you pay the bill. People have been held against their will in this place and tortured. Drugs are a definite. Not safe in daytime, and definitely not to sleep!
red roof in is now called the comfort inn, more 456 games there…Comfort Inn,2654 West March Lane,Stockton, CA 95207
Vagabond Inn Stockton?-
3473 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA? – gross if you only knew what went on there! Very nasty for meth, and everything under the sun.
Quality Inn 2717 West March Lane, Stockton, CA 95219, used to be known as the Super 8 Motel, and is especially nasty, meth coated, meth permeated rooms. As you know, nobody can take the meth out, it needs to have the building leveled. The owners will go to great lengths to make sure nobody finds out about this, unless you’ve seen it, you will be LIED TO.
Another place, in bakersfield, the Vagabond Inn Bakersfield North, located at 6100 Knudsen Drive Bakersfield, CA 93308, had a meth lab in the room probably the same day or day before we got there, and we were made to stay here, unknowingly putting ourselves at risk. The place smelled like urine, you’d think with all my knowledge of this stuff I’d have realized right away, but I didn’t, we were tired from driving and desperate for sleep. sleep i did not get. not only did i awake nervous, jittery and covered in a greasy oily substance, the neighbors in the next room were up all night tweekin. i called the cops but nothing was found. do not stay here, under any circumstance. It was hot, it smelled, and turning on the vent unit made it much worse and smellier. I suspect that this happens frequently, all over America, so watch out! Report this to the DEA and the DOJ too, the owners of the hotel must do something besides give you another room and give your tainted room to another unsuspecting family!
This house on E Eight Mile Road, Stockton, was raided, and the occupants were jailed. The entire property was seized, I think! They were making meth in a large shed/house behind the main house. The way they got caught was by going in on a large batch with several people. The gov’t wasted no time in seizing their property, which was most likely worth 500,000.00 or more at that time! The old people, the tweeker’s parents, knew what was going on and I believe they were jailed too. Afterward, their car sat around this address, 6 W Loretta, Stockton, ca for many years, and their relatives acted like tweekers. The girl next door to them in the blue house was a drug dealer, but didn’t sell anything at her own house, she went down to these houses to do it.
8908 San Pasqual Way, Stockton, CA,
Address is approximate. A guy that was there, Eric, nicknamed E or little E because he should not be confused with the other taller Eric, E or “fishbowl”…. was a nasty evil killer. He made and sold meth, under direction from local law enforcement and was a narc. He could do whatever he pleased as long as he complied with the cops and their undercover investigation. The houses in this triplex are literally infested with meth smoke, and all other drugs too. Some of the people there were okay, I hesitate to say nice, but not as bad as him. He locked her in her house, told his whole life story to one girl, then walked up on her with a sledge hammer and was going to kill her, from behind. She had found his hidden cameras and yanked out the yellow coax cables, and the neighbor next door came over to see if he was okay, and he told the guy he was okay. The cops do allow this in that town, and they will do anything to get people caught up, but the really bad guys work FOR them, so they get away with everything, it actually helps them seem less like narcs the more bad stuff they do.
