July 1, 2009: A meth lab has been named as the cause of a two-alarm fire that required everyone living in the Fox Ridge Apartment complex in Kalamazoo, Michigan to leave their apartment home, near midnight last night.
The complex houses 30 apartments. Fifteen apartments have been either been destroyed by fire or have been damaged by smoke and water.
The Fire Marshall determined that the fire began on the second floor of the complex located at 1509 Alamo Hills Drive.
The Greater Kalamazoo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross has set up a shelter for the families who were living in the complex at the Hillside Middle School.
