Buying a foreclosed home can save you thousands of dollars or cost you thousands of dollars that you didn’t plan on spending. Before you buy any home, be sure that you’re not buying a home that is contaminated with meth lab chemicals. Call the police department and ask them if they have any records about drug activity at the home. Call the health department and ask them if they have anything on record for the home, as well. If nothing turns up, that’s great. But, don’t stop there. The most important source of information about a home is often those who live in the vicinity of the home. Neighbors know more about who lives in their neighborhood than anyone!
