Branson Missouri: Former mayor rents house to meth lab cooks
July 7, 2009 by Meth Lab Homes
A rental house owned by a former Branson West, Missouri mayor was the scene of a meth lab bust, again last month. It was the third time that a meth lab bust occurred at his property. This time, police removed three children from the home between the ages of 4 and 11.
The former mayor, Joseph “Artie” Ayres, says that only two meth lab busts are tied to the house. The other, he says, happened 150 feet away from the rental home. Police disagree with him.
Like many landlords, he will have to deal with the meth lab clean up, whatever that may be. The state of Missouri has no state mandated clean up regulations. Anyone renting a home or buying a home in Missouri should keep that in mind.
Have the home tested before you move in and protect your health and the health of your family.
