Police allege that Standley sold meth to an under-cover officer when the officer visited her home on February 11, 2009.

Standley appeared in court on Monday, where she was appointed a public defender.  According to Nebraska law, a judge can give Standley as little as 1 year in prison or as much as 50 years in prison if she is convicted on the felony drug charges.  She was released from the court on Monday after posting a $5,000 bond.

On April 1, 2009, Joba Chamberlain, the son of Standley and a pitcher for the NY Yankees,  plead guilty to a DUI charge in the same court room as his mother. Chamberlain was sentenced by County Judge Laurie Yardley to nine months of probation.

News reports say that Standley and her children have been estranged for the last few years.
