Indiana meth lab operator throws acid at law officer

October 14, 2008

Acting on a tip, Indiana’s Kosciusko County Drug Task Force found Gary Miller walking down the street, at the intersection of North Lake and North Washington streets, carrying a portable meth lab. When police began to question him about the contents of the bag he was carrying, he took acid from inside of the bag and poured it on to one of the officers, before he fled on foot through Center Lake Park near Park Avenue and Lucerne Park.

When a search of the area by officers and canine units failed to locate him, police went to his home in the 300 block of North Lake.  Upon their arrival, Miller again tried to escape by making a quick exit from a window in his home. A canine unit caught up with him not far from his home, where he was arrested and taken in to custody. Miller is being held on a $10,000 bond in the Kosciusko County jail and faces multiple charges including felony charges of dealing methamphetamine and battery on a law enforcement officer.
