Missouri Meth Lab bursts in to flames
September 30, 2007
Platte County authorities on Thursday accused a 31-year-old man of shooting at police officers moments before a suspected methamphetamine lab exploded into flames.
September 7, 2007 - “According to court documents, officers arrived, and no one answered the door when they knocked. However, music was playing inside. Several officers detected a strong chemical odor coming from the vents of an attached garage, the documents stated.
The odor was consistent with the smell of solvents used to make methamphetamine, the reports stated. Officers checked the vehicle identification numbers on several vehicles and farming equipment at the property and determined that they were stolen, court records said.”
